Why fresh water wells?
LIFE DEPENDS ON CLEAN WATER
Clean water wells in India are crucial for providing access to safe and sustainable sources of water, improving health, local economy and agriculture.

Why India?
UNBALANCED WATER STRESS
India accounts for 18 percent of the global population, yet possesses only 4 percent of the world's freshwater resources, placing it in the category of severely water-stressed countries. A recent report published by the NITI Aayog, the government's policy think tank, reveals that a significant number of Indians are grappling with high to extreme levels of water stress.

One water well at a time might sound like it doesn't make much impact, but when one well becomes five, ten or fifty each well multiplies and creates massive localized impact.
The goal of clean water through wells also empowers communities, particularly women and girls, who often bear the burden of collecting water for their families. With access to clean water wells, women and girls can save time and energy spent on water collection, and instead invest in education, livelihoods, and personal development, leading to improved socio-economic conditions and gender equality.
